Boatchecks app for iPhone and iPad

Boatchecks aimed at small commercial boat operators to run a digital logbook onboard to enable full vessel compliance all from the palm of your hand.

This app been developed as a fully digital solution for compliance with various marine Safety Management System regulations. The system has been specifically designed for smaller vessels that need to comply with the Passenger Ships Domestic Safety Management Code, the Workboat Code, Vessels operating under MGN 280, Fishing Vessels and the IPV code.
The system Boatchecks takes the form of a cloud based desktop administrator interface for the Designated Person and a mobile phone app for onboard crews. Crew members working onboard vessel can undertake tasks for period maintenance reporting, daily pre start checks, periodic crew training, Incident reporting, defect reporting as well as viewing all certification and documentation required for both crews and vessels. This is all done on a crew members existing mobile phone or tablet without the need for an onboard computer network or Wi-Fi connection.

Boatchecks enables the operator to show compliance to MCA regulations reporting back to the Designated Person Ashore various aspects of a vessel. The app has the ability to upload photos and media and comment on any aspect of a vessels operation

The app has the following functionality :
- Undertake pre start checks including crew members on watch, weather, bunkers and engine. hours, live defects, Engine and wheelhouse checks.
- Undertake planned maintenance checks based on date and engine hour variables.
- Log defects with the ability to close out any defect.
- Log incidents onboard including the ability to catch all legally required data.
- Log engine hour data and bunkers onboard.
- Upload a passenger manifest for each journey for both crew and passengers reporting ashore to the designated person.
- View any certificates and documents pertaining to vessels, crew and companies in the App.
- Undertake crew training and drills reporting back to the designated person.
